A Russian trawler has sunk off the Kamchatka
peninsula, with 54 sailors so far confirmed dead. Sixty-three people have been
rescued, many suffering from hypothermia, according to officials in Russia's
Far East, but 15 are reported missing. The Dalniy Vostok freezer trawler had
132 people on board when it sank. Seventy-eight of those on board were Russian
and 42 were from Myanmar. The remainder were from Vanuatu, Latvia and Ukraine. The
Dalniy Vostok went down in the Sea of Okhotsk, 330 km (205 miles) west of
Krutogorovsky settlement, at around 06:30 local time (20:30 GMT Wednesday).
The exact
location of the accident is not known but it is not far from Petropavlovsk from
where the rescue team operated. Shown here is the chart for the solar eclipse
of March 20 at Petropavlovsk. The eclipse took place in the 9th
house with Mars-Uranus-Pluto square straddling the meridian. About eclipses in
the 9th house H.S. Green writes in “Mundane or National Astrology”.
Storms, accidents or disasters at sea;
misfortune for shipping and sailors.
The
Mars-Uranus-Pluto square is well known to be connected with accidents.
Additionally, Mars [21ar] is conjunct the star Baten Kaitos, zeta Ceti [22ar]
in the Sea Monster’s belly. About this star Diana Rosenberg writes:
Baten Kaitos is one of the most
frequently found stars involved in shipwrecks.
