Starving sea lions wash up on US beaches

Haumea – Goddess of Life

More than 2,250 California sea lions, mostly pups, have turned up starving and stranded on California's beaches so far this year. More than half of them turned up last month alone, making it the worst such crisis yet documented for the marine mammals. Jeff Boehm, the executive director of the Marine Mammal Centre in San Francisco, said the fact that the sea lion mothers are unable to find food for their pups provides "an insight into the state of the ocean environment - from the point of view of the water temperatures, and fisheries". The news item mentions that the crisis reached its critical phase in March. We know that the solar eclipse of March 20 influences all major events taking place now. The chart for the  eclipse at San Francisco is shown here. The eclipse is conjunct the star Scheat, beta Pegasus.

Scheat reveals the essence of early sidereal Pisces and the very foundation of life—water. Scheat is of the waters of life, the living springs of the Earth [1]. It draws attention to the quality of water and whether it is supportive of life.

Notice that the eclipse is prominent for San Francisco since it not only aspects the horizon axis but places the Uranus-Pluto square on the meridian axis.  What is not visible in the chart is the placement of  Haumea [22li] on the MC [21li].

Haumea is a recently discovered dwarf planet named after a Polynesian goddess. It helps to consider the nature of Haumea in the context of the ancient Polynesian view of life; thus it is worth mentioning the Hawaiian "Kumulipo" to help gain context for the unadulterated essence of Haumea and her lineage of souls. The Kumulipo is an epic poem about creation and the evolution of life on Earth, over two thousand lines long, at one time recited from memory by Kahuna (high priests) during ceremony. In the Kumulipo, humans are acknowledged to be integral with the Earth, the land, and all living creatures—one wholistic system—providing a biologically-ecologically wholistic view of life, and thus teaching the sacredness of life, of being wholistically attuned to our embracing sojourn on Earth as evolving souls [2].

Solar eclipses offer opportunity to redefine the roles we play in the world, or how we articulate ourselves in life. They are about shifting octaves in the nature of our self-perception and self-expression, and addressing issues that keep us from doing so. They can invite a new beginning, way of life, or new way of participating in life [1].  This solar eclipse is asking us to express a new level of awareness about what is truly life supportive.
