Russian President Vladimir Putin’s website is
providing fascinating details of a high level government meeting that took
place in the Kremlin on 20th May 2015. The meeting covered a broad range of
economic issues, but I shall focus here on one particular issue, which is what
the report tells us about the state of the tripartite negotiations Russia is
having with the EU and Ukraine over Ukraine’s Association Agreement with the
EU, and what the negotiations also tell us about the strength or otherwise of
the EU’s commitment to Ukraine. It appears from the report that the EU’s
commitment to Ukraine is weakening, and that the EU might be preparing to wrap

the horizon axis is the Saturn-Mars
opposition square Neptune. Some key phrases provided by Ebertin are:
Mars-Saturn-Neptune: Weak vitality; an
insufficient power to tackle resistance or any obstacles in one’s path-way of life.
Neptune is
often associated with unrealistic dreams and bubble projects. Saturn is concerned with dealing with reality as it
is while the Archer’s sign it occupies is aiming its arrow at a future that has
yet to come. The hunger for new experiences at all costs associated with Sagittarius can sometimes go
too far and can then be disciplined by
boundary-setting Saturn.
A keyword for
Mars-Saturn opposition is separations. Mars is conjunct the asteroids Sappho and Industria. Sappho is
about friendships and bonding while Industria
is about commercial enterprises so that the combination is referring to
business associations here. Confirming this is the position of an afflicted
Moon in the eighth forming hard aspects to the horizon axis. The eighth house
is about “the national debt” and “financial relations with foreign countries”. We can, therefore, see what is bringing about
an end to the EU-Ukraine partnership.
But perhaps
the most significant thing in the chart is the position of the newly discovered
dwarf planet Makemake [29vi57] on the MC [0li]. An edited

of Makemake is given below and readers can see it makes good sense in the
present context:
Makemake reveals our need to get clear on
the use and application of resources. Clearly finding the golden egg is not
about greed and lust, trapped in the fear-based technobureaucratic monster of
collective human consciousness, but is about the proper use of resources in
providing for our nourishment and wellbeing and the use of resources to free
those entrapped.
There are initiatory lessons to claim our own power
regarding financial resources, to stand in our soul integrity rather than
turning our heads in arrogant denial and falling into a sense of perpetual
helplessness. Here we are asked to become attentive to the fact that our intent
of purpose can be diverted and dispersed by psycho-emotional forces that
congest us when toxic physical conditions exist, when we are naive to such
forces, or simply in mental-emotional denial. Our psycho-emotional fog can then
perpetuate confused life scenarios, antiquated involvements, or entrapments
that are no longer in our highest interest nor serving our well-being,
especially regarding our fundamental physical needs .
