India finds Maggi noodles 'unsafe'

Saturn

Authorities in the Indian capital, Delhi, say that samples of Maggi noodles collected from shops contain high levels of lead. This came weeks after food inspectors in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh recalled a batch of the noodles from shops for the same reason. Maggi, the two-minute instant noodles, are hugely popular in India. A number of states are testing the noodles. Nestle India has denied that their noodles are unsafe or unhealthy. Maggi noodles has been at the centre of a controversy since laboratory tests on two dozen packets in Uttar Pradesh last month found lead nearly seven times the permissible limits and excess levels of MSG. The Delhi government says its food inspectors found lead in 10 of the 13 packets they picked up for tests. June 3; http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-32987682

The cardinal ingresses of the Sun have a traditional reputation as  important mundane events. Of these the Capricorn Ingress has a special place and is considered by many to be the  annual chart. Shown here is the sidereal Capricorn Ingress chart for Delhi, India with only the elements relevant to our discussion. On the Ascendant is the TNP Hades opposite the asteroid Ceres and quincunx Saturn in the 6th house. Ceres refers to food while Hades is about things that are spoilt so that Ceres-Hades would refer to food that is unfit for consumption. Reinforcing the connection to health is Saturn in the 6th , a house connected with public health [1].  In her article, “Saturn – The Great Teacher”, Deborah Houlding [2] explains why Saturn is connected to the metal lead.

Of the seven metals, Saturn rules lead, which has a very dull surface and makes a thick, heavy sound when struck. Lead is also the heaviest, the most stable and the most inert metal, the traditional metal of tombs. Lead poisoning was originally referred to as 'Saturnism', because the physical ailments of ingesting small quantities of lead include fatigue, depression and melancholia. Lead collects in bone tissue and is more prevalent in the bones of old people than those of the young. Nick Kollerstrom in his book Astrochemistry explores the link between Saturn, lead and Saturnism, reminding us that the effects of lead poisoning are to 'slow down' the mental processes of the mind.

Having established that the Capricorn Ingress chart at Delhi is indeed referring to the matter of food poisoning, all that remains is to progress the chart to June 3, the date of the news, to see that the progressed Ascendant conjoins Saturn triggering the Ceres-Hades-Saturn configuration.
