The American People Want Money Out of Politics

At the outset of an election cycle expected to attract unprecedented levels of outside spending from ultra-rich donors like the Koch brothers, a new poll finds that the American people, in fact, oppose the unlimited flow of dollars into politics, do not think money equals speech, and want to restrict the power of the one percent to buy ballot outcomes. Released Tuesday by The New York Times and CBS, the findings "reveal deep support among Republicans and Democrats alike for new measures to restrict the influence of wealthy givers, including limiting the amount of money that can be spent by 'super PACs' and forcing more public disclosure on organizations now permitted to intervene in elections without disclosing the names of their donors," the Times summarizes. A stunning 84 percent of respondents said that money has "too much influence" in American political campaigns today. From across the political spectrum, people in the U.S. are calling for change with "near unanimity," the study finds. June 2 http://bit.ly/1JjOoAr

A chart for the Full Moon at Washington DC is shown here. The Moon is in the 4th house. H.S. Green in his “Mundane or National Astrology” writes that this house represents “the people as contrasted with the monarch”.  In other words, if the rulers are indicated by the 10th then those ruled are in the 4th. Here the Moon is conjunct the star Antares, Alpha Scorpio, Heart of the Scorpion about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

In classical astrology, Antares is the star of war and weaponry, and with expounded meaning, to challenge the established opposing politics (an arena common to the Antares / Aldebaran axis) with a tenacious willingness to fight and even destroy. Antares demands we take responsibility for our reality, for the lives we create, and "take a stand" for our truth, live it, and especially to take a stand against the established conditions of our personal lives and against the established order or authority directing our lives when those conditions or that authority are no longer in our best interest nor supporting our evolutionary freedom and greatest fulfillment.

No commentary is required. Nick’s excellent account of Antares tells us exactly why the American people want money out of politics.
