the Hunter or Warrior
After several months of shaky ceasefire, east
Ukraine has seen the first bout of serious fighting since February, with
clashes this week leaving up to 21 dead and prompting fears of a resumption of
full-blown conflict in the region. Underlining the seriousness of the situation
the UN security council will hold an emergency meeting on Friday to discuss the

The Ukraine
ceasefire appeared to be holding since the Minsk II agreement in February. So
what cosmic factor has suddenly brought about a change? This week’s Full Moon
chart at Kiev has the answer. Here the Sun-Mars-Mercury in the 7th
are opposite Moon-Saturn in the 1st . The Mars-Saturn opposition contained
in this combination is an indicator of war. This receives a confirmation with Mars conjunct the star Rigel of Orion,
often depicted as a Warrior (see image).
The Full Moon
luminaries are square the meridian and therefore highlight the energies
involved for the place. The Moon is conjunct the star Antares. In previous
posts we have mentioned that Antares is about “taking a stand against the
established conditions of our personal lives and against the established order
or authority directing our lives when those conditions or that authority are no
longer in our best interest nor supporting our evolutionary freedom and
greatest fulfillment”. The Sun is conjunct stars in the ‘lion skin’ or shield
of Orion (see image). In light of the
Ukraine situation, this Full Moon is saying that rebels need to take a stand and
protect themselves against a Government that no longer cares for them.
