When earlier today we revealed the terms of the
"leaked" Eurogroup statement, which as we also reported would fail to
reach a deal for a Greek Bailout #3, we said "Germany and 5 other
"northern" states want Greece out, but they generously offer Greece
the opportunity to push the "Grexit" button itself (especially since
it is only "temporary"). Unless, of course, Greece is willing to cede
all of its sovereignty to Germany in which case it can generously stay." That's
pretty much what just happened when after a day-long meeting of the Eurogroup,
the European FinMins were unable to reach a conclusion on the third Greek
bailout and instead once again punted the revised term sheet, this time with
absolutely draconian terms, back to Tsipras, and told him he has until tomorrow
to agree to the terms, and until Wednesday to pass them into law, for talks to
even begin!
Astrologer
Barry Goddard in his blog “Why Greece
will leave the Euro next week” writes:
The EU began in 1993 (that was when it
changed its name as a result of the Maastricht Treaty). The astrology this week
does not suggest anything earth-shattering in a 'personal' way - ie it will
continue to function as before but without Greece sharing its currency. But it
IS significant for its vision of itself: the EU was born under the
Uranus-Neptune conjunction of the time - the planets were within 4 minutes of
each other at 18-19 Capricorn. The Sun is opposing this point right now (as
Pluto comes up to conjoin it), so we are seeing a significant moment. By
Progression, the EU's Sun and Asc have recently entered new signs - moving from
fixed to mutable signs - so an EU is being born that is less rigid about
itself, less insistent perhaps that all countries follow the same rules; and
more sure of itself, having survived the current crisis, and so more able to be
flexible. http://astrotabletalk.blogspot.in/
If we look at
the progressions in the EU chart, it appears that he may just be right. Currently, the most important progression
in this chart is solar arc MC conjunct Moon triggering the T-square containing
Moon-Mars-Pluto- TNP Cupido-Saturn. This combination is about conflict in a group
situation …anger and frustration at finding oneself blocked by another. And with
transit Jupiter reaching the opposition to
the apex Saturn this does include the possibility of walking out of
the group.
In addition,
the transiting Sun-Uranus square that
began this past weekend is exact and separating on July 12. Uranus feeds the
urge for freedom from whatever it is that enslaves. This is followed by a
Mars-Uranus square which further amplifies a desire to break free.
Update July 13:
News is coming in of
an agreement between Greece and its EU creditors. To me it doesn’t look like a breakthrough but rather the
beginning of a break down. As mentioned before the solar arc MC in the EU chart
triggers the Moon-Mars-Pluto-Cupido-Saturn T-square. The TNP Cupido is about a family or a group
much like the EU. Mars-Pluto-Saturn is a harsh energy trying to obsessively
control or remake the group. Pluto is about monies especially credit or debt. So
the picture fits in completely with problem that EU is facing. If we now add the asteroids Ophelia and Siwa
that make hard aspects to the T-square we can interpret this as: “people have
moments of rage because they feel misled or deceived and the cause of the
problem is someone trying to control them”.
