Cuban embassy reopens in US after 54 years

For the first time in 54 years, the red, white and blue Cuban flag flew at its embassy in the United States on Monday morning, marking the official beginning of restoration between the U.S. and the Communist island country. The Cuban national anthem played as three uniformed soldiers raised the flag on Monday morning. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez was present at the ceremony, which took place just hours after the diplomatic missions of each country were upgraded to embassies at midnight. Around 4 a.m. ET, a worker at the U.S. Department of State unceremoniously added the Cuban flag inside the main entrance of the agency in Washington, D.C. July 20

This monumental change is well understood if we begin with the  October 2014 solar eclipse at Washington,DC. The eclipse was placed in the mundane 7th house connected to 'enemies'.  The following edited extract from Nick Fiorenza’s  post [1] on the eclipse explains the cosmic energy active in the eclipse.

Solar eclipses offer opportunity to redefine concepts of self and the roles we play in the world, or how we articulate ourselves in life. They are about shifting octaves in the nature of our self-perception and self-expression, and addressing issues that keep us from doing so. They can invite a new beginning, way of life, or new way of participating in life. The New Moon of October 23 is a partial Solar Eclipse conjunct Venus and Pallas. This Venus-Pallas Eclipse Lunar Cycle provides opportunity to redefine our expressions in the world, how we participate, inviting trust, openness and non-judgment in our relations. It also impels demonstrable action to trust in unique events or portals occurring in space and time that can change our evolutionary experience and destiny. We must be willing to take a leap of faith, trusting in unseen evolutionary currents guiding our lives with the confidence to direct those undulating waves into new possibilities.

The eclipse is conjunct the star Syrma , iota Virgo, which embodies issues relating to frozen genetic coding and the resultant crystallized emotional patterning incurred due to devastating or cataclysmic events of the past, especially incurred from the controlling use of resources to obtain power over others. Syrma provides inspiration for personal change and transformation, and articulates our need to unlock our frozen genetic coding and crystallized cellular makeup that keeps us stretched out of the present. Syrma alignments can bring deep-seated emotional patterning to surface awareness so we may clear it, especially suppressed grief and issues related to the use of power.

The  eclipse puts a skewed Grand Cross on the meridian which realigns when progressed to July 20, the date of the news. The interpretation for the configuration involved is as below:

Kronos-Hades-Uranus-Pluto
Those in authority (Kronos)  recognize that their actions have just made things worse (Hades). This recognition accompanies a transformation of the old ways (Uranus-Pluto).

On the progressed Ascendant [20sa] are stars in the fire of Ara, the altar. This is altar where Centaurus sacrifices the beast Lupus, a symbol of evil. Diana Rosenberg links this area with the Altar’s bright promise of light, hope, faith and salvation.
