The
current international financial crisis
is linked by many to the actions of President Nixon in what is referred to as
the “The Nixon Shock”. This was a series
of economic measures undertaken by United States President Richard Nixon in
1971, the most significant of which was the unilateral cancellation of the
direct convertibility of the United States dollar to gold. While Nixon's
actions did not formally abolish the existing Bretton Woods system of
international financial exchange, the suspension of one of its key components
effectively rendered the Bretton Woods system inoperable. While Nixon publicly
stated his intention to resume direct convertibility of the dollar after
reforms to the Bretton Woods system had been implemented, all attempts at
reform proved unsuccessful. By 1973, the Bretton Woods system was replaced de
facto by a regime based on freely floating fiat currencies that remains in
place to the present day.
The unilateral
change in policy was made on 15 August
1971. The President spoke at 9 p.m. in
the Oval Office at the White House. His address was broadcast live on radio and
television [1][2]. On that day, the Federal Reserve shut its "gold
window," meaning foreign governments could no longer trade gold for
dollars at the fixed rate of $35 an ounce. The Bretton Woods system officially
ended and the dollar became fully "fiat currency," backed by nothing
but the promise of the federal government.
A

as the chart for the fiat dollar. The
following observations about the chart may help to understand the present
financial crisis stemming from the Nixon Shock.
Transit
Saturn entered Sagittarius in late 2014 and

transits are always some kind of a reality check. Combine this with Martha Wescott’s key
sentence to describe Jupiter-Neptune (linked to false hopes) and we know what
is happening.

Also
notice that the progressed solar arc Ascendant [28ar] forms a temporary Yod
with the Jupiter [27sc] – Pluto [ 28vi] sextile. Progressed Yods create turning points in life
as though one has reached a Y in the road and must now take a new path. Here
the dynamics of a troubled Jupiter-Pluto interaction is described by Steven

Perhaps someone has
gone down a road for the wrong reasons. Under hard aspects illusions are
challenged. The trick lies in realising that your life as you are living it is
inadequate to meet your spiritual and emotional needs, and that half the reason
that’s true is that you have believed far too many lies all your life. The
other half of the reason is that you’ve grown and changed, and what used to be
satisfying and believable is now barren and false. Comforting but phony
elements of life must be released and new possibilities seized under less than
auspicious circumstances.

and Nick Fiorenza’s description of the dynamics in this area tells us what
really happened and what is at stake now.
Benetnasch (Eta,
Ursa Major) is the Tail of the Great Bear. The Arabic name for Benetnasch is
Alkaid, which means "the leader." Benetnasch teaches that leadership
is about facilitating the self-empowerment and freedom of others rather than
about exerting manipulative force that controls others, mistaken as leadership
and being in power.
Benetnasch
expresses the old dictatorial and totalitarian stream of consciousness that was
predominantly dominant when Earth's polar alignment was tilted (had fallen)
furthest from the galactic plane in Earth's great precessional year (about 6000
years ago). Thus Benetnasch is of this long-established totalitarian governing
paradigm--generally of a patriarchal nature. It is of political-religious
factions of big business.
In its old form and
when expressing with influence of the stars of late Leo (the tail of the Lion,
the racket of Canes Venatici and the hot air of Antilia), Benetnasch
articulates those who tend to act as manipulating and controlling godheads,
which perpetuates a dogmatic societal structure that keeps individuals from
becoming self-responsible, and from evolving into their own self-mastery. It is
of leadership that dictates what is right for people and what they should do by
using dramatic and diversionary propaganda, rather than supporting others to
make their own choices in freedom. It can be of the self-proclaimed saviors of the
world who try to amass their blind followers for their own interest in
maintaining a position of power and wealth. The days of dictators, gurus and
followings, perhaps at one time served the sleeping masses, but they are now
manipulative and suppressive to the emergence of a new soul-aware consciousness
on Earth.
