Dragon
– ancient symbol of electricity and lightning
In a freak instance of multiple lightning-strikes,
19 people were killed in five Andhra Pradesh districts on Sunday, even as women
cricket teams of Andhra Pradesh and Tripura had a narrow squeak in Guntur where
a fire-bolt struck a tree next to the ground they were having a practice match.
This is the first time in the state's recent history that so many people have
been killed by lightning on a single day. Nellore district bore the brunt of
nature's fury with six deaths, followed by Prakasam and Krishna with four each.
Three deaths were reported from Guntur and two from East Godavari as the
southwest monsoon, which had been playing truant so far, turned vigorous on
Sunday because of low pressure, bringing heavy rains. The downpour was
accompanied by lightning and caught people working in the farms unawares. Sept.

The cardinal
ingresses of the Sun have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. Astrologers have discovered that significant events occur when progressed
angles of ingress charts touch important
planetary configurations. Shown here is the progressed sidereal Cancer ingress
chart drawn for Nellore. Notice that on
Sept.6, a Grand Cross containing Uranus-Pluto aligns with the angles. This
combination has been associated with the sudden release of elemental forces of
nature including lightning (Uranus) [1].
But in addition here we have the TNP Zeus on the IC conjunct stars of Corvus,
the Crow and Draco, the Dragon . Corvus is a storm bird while the Dragon is
linked to electricity and lightning so that Diana Rosenberg [2] links these
stars to “storms, high winds, lightning and electrical events”.
