Jeremy Corbyn elected new Labour leader

Jeremy Corbyn has been elected leader of the British Labour party, in a stunning first-round victory that dwarfed even the mandate for Tony Blair in 1994. He won with nearly 59.5% of first-preference votes, beating rivals Andy Burnham, who trailed on 19%, and Yvette Cooper who received 17%. The “Blairite” candidate Liz Kendall came last on 4.5%. Labour frontbenchers rule out serving in Corbyn's shadow cabinet. Minutes after his victory, Corbyn said the message is that people are “fed up with the injustice and the inequality” of Britain.

A chart for the  solar eclipse  of Sept.13 at London is shown here.We shall see that cComing just a day before Jeremy Corbyn’s election as the Labour party leader, it puts its stamp on his victory. Note that the eclipse along with the North Node is on the Ascendant. The eclipse [20vi] is at the beginning of sidereal Virgo. Here the distinct influence of the peace loving Virgin begins to overshadow the “monstrous” and “war loving” Lion. The following extracts from Manilius and Aratus explain the nature of the “departing” Lion and the “rising” Virgo very elegantly.

"Who can doubt the nature of the monstrous Lion, and the pursuits he prescribes for those born beneath his sign? The lion ever devises fresh fights and fresh warfare on animals, and lives on spoil and pillaging of flocks. The sons of the Lion are filled with the urge to adorn their proud portals with pelts and to hang up on their walls the captured prey, to bring the peace of terror to the woods, and to live upon plunder. " [Astronomica, Manilius, 1st century AD, p.237.]

"Her men called Justice (Dike); but she assembling the elders, it might be in the market-place or in the wide-wayed streets, uttered her voice, ever urging on them judgments kinder to the people. Not yet in that age had men knowledge of hateful strife, or carping contention, or din of battle, but a simple life they lived….But when she had filled the great heights with gathering crowds, then would she with threats rebuke their evil ways, and declare that never more at their prayer would she reveal her face to man. "Behold what manner of race the fathers of the Golden Age left behind them! Far meaner than themselves! but ye will breed a viler progeny! [the Iron Age?]. Verily wars and cruel bloodshed shall be unto men and grievous woe shall be laid upon them." [Aratus, Phaenomena, 3rd century B.C., p.237-239]

In our context, the transition from the Lion to the Virgin describes the change taking place in Labour politics extremely accurately- a self-effacing and humble leader like Corbyn coming after the war-mongers like Tony Blair and David Cameron. Getting a little more into detail we notice that the newly discovered dwarf planet Haumea [1li] is conjunct the Node[1li] on the Ascendant [1li]. The following extract from Nick Fiorenza once again describes Jeremy Corbyn quite well.

Haumea’s propensity is to intercede with dynamic motion from a state of equilibrium and poise to support a new birth in consciousness, especially the use of the fundamental primordial forces of life. Haumea also appears to motivate action to reorient world powers’ militaristic destructive use of power and resources into a nurturing force that supports and protects life, home and family; and that aids humanity’s emergence into a spiritually and primordial aware state of being.[1]

From this example perhaps it is clear that the cosmos chooses those individuals as leaders whose energies align with the cosmic energies unfolding at that point in time.

PS:

It appears from a report [#] in The Guardian that Corbyn’s victory was announced at 17:01 on Saturday, September 12. A chart for the moment has the Uranus-Pluto square aspecting the horizon axis triggered by transiting Mercury about to station retrograde. The following extract about the Uranus-Pluto square  from Bill Herbst describes what is happening in British politics very accurately:

The alignment indicates a breakdown in our largest institutions (Capricorn) that starts from within the institutions themselves as an egregious overplaying of their power in ways that are clearly self-serving rather than for the greater good (Pluto), which is then furthered by an unexpected rebellion (Uranus) against institutional malfeasance, a seemingly spontaneous insurrection that occurs from the ground level up, fomented by individuals (Aries) who stand up in protest against the oppressive influence of such institutions. Actually, these insurrections aren’t spontaneous; they’ve been brewing invisibly under the surface, slowly heating up as discontent with the status quo grows. Such rebellions manifest as potent and disruptive forces in the collective, however, only after critical mass is reached at the boiling point, so that they appear to arise full-blown and without precedent, as if out of nowhere.
