Australia's national shearing champion has had to
be urgently called in after a heavily overgrown sheep was found wandering near
the capital Canberra. Ian Elkins responded after animal welfare officials
warned the life of the merino sheep could be in danger because it was so
woolly. Sheep can develop serious health issues if they are not regularly
shorn. The animal - believed to be male - was "four-to-five times its
normal size," welfare official Tammy Ven Dange said. "It's definitely
one of the biggest sheep we've ever seen," Ms Ven Danger, head of the
RSPCA in the Australian Capital Territory, was quoted as saying by the AFP news
agency. She added that the animal was "pretty stressed out" around
human beings after what was probably years of solitude. Sept.2 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-34125662
A chart
for the Disseminating Moon phase of Sept. 2 drawn for Canberra is shown here.
The Moon [24ar] is placed in the 6th house. Skyscript informs us
that the 6th house rules:
Pets,
small animals and lesser cattle (ie., hogs, sheep, goats, rabbits)
The Moon
itself is conjunct the stars of Aries, the Ram often depicted as in the image
above admiring his fleece! The Moon and the Sun make hard aspects to Jupiter-Neptune.
This is a combination that is associated with abundance or overgrowth…and
is often compared to a large bubble. Metaphorically that would mean an illusion
in which something appears bigger than what it really is! Now wouldn’t that description
fit this ram that not having been shorn looked "four-to-five times its
normal size."
Finally, note
that Saturn (lean) squares Jupiter (excess) and is conjunct stars of the
Serpent. Serpents are known to shed their skin and therefore symbolize
regeneration, healing and renewal.
