A deal to attempt to limit the rise in global
temperatures to less than 2C has been agreed at the climate change summit in
Paris after two weeks of intense negotiations. The pact is the first to commit
all countries to cut carbon emissions. The agreement is partly legally binding
and partly voluntary. Earlier, key blocs, including the G77 group of developing
countries, and nations such as China and India said they supported the
proposals. President of the UN climate conference of parties (COP) and French
Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said: "I now invite the COP to adopt the

This
wonderful news comes just after the
December 11, 2015 New Moon which is conjunct
the star Alpha (α) Ophiuchus, Ras Alhague, on the head of the Snake Charmer. Ophiuchus is
also referred to as the medicine man. Its stars are connected with healing,
mending, restoring or revivifying people
or situations that have declined or deteriorated in any way.
Look at
how the pieces fall into place. The New
Moon is conjunct the TNP Cupido which rules
groups so that its conjunction with Ophiuchus is suggesting that a group has
come together to “heal” or “restore” a damaged situation. It is square Jupiter [22vi] on the the star
Denebola which Nick Fiorenza links to foul breezes emanating from the hind of
the lion, in our context here this is a
clear reference to polluted gases emanating from chimneys of factories or tail
pipes of automobiles etc [1].
But the hero
of the hour is the COP President Laurent Fabius. His horoscope available at Astro-Databank [2] is reproduced here. An “AA”
Rodden rating implies that the time of birth can be relied upon. Notice
that the New Moon has taken place on his Nodal axis. However, for the purpose
of this post we will look at his current
Primary Directions.
What are Primary Directions?
Any method, for determining the changing
influences of the altered relationship between the cuspal and the planets'
places on successive days or years after birth, that is based upon the diurnal
rotation of the Earth upon its axis, arc known as Primary Directions. The
measure employed is the elapsed time during which one complete degree of Right
Ascension (q.v.) passes across the meridian, or approximately 4 minutes of

Using the
Solar Fire astrology software we find that Fabius is currently going through the
Primary Direction “Hades opposite radix
Sun”. Notice that natally his Sun
and the TNP Hades are in a harmonious trine.
Jacobson
in his “Language of Uranian Astrology”
provides the following key words for Hades: garbage; filth; stagnant water;
putrefaction. To this Finley adds that Hades is prominent in the chart of
cleaning workers who take measures to fix or remediate problems stemming from our
lopsided material development. With Hades an understanding of deeper principles
of social cause and effect may be necessary to untangle such problems . Hades,
therefore, forces us to deal with primal realities and look beneath

That essentially
sums up what is essentially Fabius’ job as the COP President. But let us go one step further and look at
the stars in the Lion’s head that form the backdrop to his radix Sun [26le].
About these stars Nick Fiorenza writes that these people are “trail-blazers
whose work is rarely seen until others
later follow or make popular that which they have found, or until time itself
brings the future into the present awareness of the masses”.
Finally, a
chart for the current Libra Ingress of the Sun progressed to Dec.12 brings Hades trine
Neptune to the angles while the Saturn aspect finally brings a workable solution to a long standing issue.
Hades-Neptune : to finally recognize that
bad things (debilitating illnesses; poor air or water quality; filth though air
or water) have been happening through unknown or unseen causes [3]
