Myanmar's new president has been sworn in, the
first elected civilian leader in more than 50 years. Htin Kyaw from the
National League for Democracy (NLD) takes over from Thein Sein, who introduced
wide-ranging reforms during his five years in power. Although NLD leader Aung
San Suu Kyi is barred from the presidency, she has said she will rule by proxy.

In the shadow
of the powerful March 9 solar eclipse, changes are now perceptible in many
places. The eclipse was conjunct the
star Achernar, alpha Eridanus and Ankaa, alpha Phoenix.

chart for Naypyidaw, Myanmar’s capital has it sextile Pluto on the MC and
opposite Jupiter i.e. activating the
Jupiter-Pluto trine, the Uranus-Pluto and the Jupiter-Saturn squares. The Jupiter-Pluto trine is an obvious
reference to social/ political(Jupiter) regeneration (Pluto).
In its
positive manifestation, the current Uranus-Pluto square is creating important breakthroughs in politics. Let us
recall that the French Revolution took place under a Uranus-Pluto opposition.
That was violent. Here we notice a much more peaceful transition of power from
the military to the people possibly
because Uranus is trine Saturn. The actions of a few courageous people (Uranus
in Aries) bringing about a change in the government (Pluto in Capricorn).
