What makes astrology supremely relevant is that it discloses an
unsuspected dimension of the world we think we know so well. It is as though we
have become accustomed to see only the horizontal yarn of the weaving, the
weft, and are largely unaware of the warp. We are accustomed to break down our
world, in order to understand it, into certain categories, recognizing what
belongs to this category, what belongs to that. That is ‘scientific’. However,
astrology is about learning to think in new categories. It embodies a system of
new categories that are as different from the ones to which we are habituated,
as the warp is from the weft. In this system objects and events that at first
sight appear to have nothing whatever to do with each other are shown to be
intimately connected. Conversely, things we naturally tend to associate may be
distributed otherwise in the astrological scheme. Understanding the world
around us depends on our power to perceive patterns of meaning, to make the
right connections, recognize what belongs with what. It is not easy. Unaided,

mess, but with the help of astrology we can see the design as it is meant to

Kolkata had one of its worst days today when a
portion of an under-construction flyover collapsed in a busy north Kolkata
neighbourhood, killing many people and leaving dozens injured and trapped under
the debris. According to latest reports at least 17 people have been killed,
and the casualties are expected to rise through the day. Several people were
rescued from under the debris and were sent to different hospitals in the
vicinity. The collapse occurred around noon at the busy Rabindra Sarani-KK
Tagore Street crossing near Burrabazar, the trading hub and one of the most

The lunar
eclipse chart at Kolkata is shown here. Notice that it aligns with the horizon
axis and is therefore significant for the place. It also forms a T-square with
Mercury and the TNPs Kronos-Hades.

The Transeptunian Points (TNPs)
KRONOS : This TNP is viewed as relating to
government or parent figures. This is
true. However, Kronos can indicate tall structures, mountains, the height
reached by airplanes - generally, highly situated places.
HADES Decomposition, defect, disintegration.
We know ,
of course, that Mercury is connected with roads. So that with Kronos, it
becomes a flyover! Combine both with Hades and you have a flyover collapse
because of defect or disintegration. At the time of the collapse Moon [7cp] was forming a Grand Cross and thus activating the eclipse.
But as we
have seen in the past, there can more than one cosmic factor contributing to an
event. On the night of March 30, Mercury and Pluto formed an exact square. A
chart for this planetary event has Mercury (road) activating the Uranus-Pluto
square (collapse) and forming an aspect
to the MC at Calcutta. (Ebertin's keywords for Uranus-Pluto are collapse or accidents.)
Finally, a
chart drawn for the reported time of the collapse (12 noon) has the same square
straddling the MC axis.
PS: A
few days back, Kolkata newspapers [1]reported a sting operation in which
politicians of the ruling party were videotaped accepting bribes. Notice that
another interpretation of Kronos-Hades is leaders who are corrupt and with
Mercury (newsmedia) we can see how the same combination can refer to
newsreports(Mercury) about corruption (Hades)
in high places (Kronos)!
