Donald Trump’s Historic Speech on His New Foreign Policy

Unfortunately, after the Cold War our foreign policy veered badly off course. We failed to develop a new vision for a new time. In fact, as time went on, our foreign policy began to make less and less sense. Logic was replaced with foolishness and arrogance, which led to one foreign policy disaster after another.
They just kept coming and coming. We went from mistakes in Iraq to Egypt to Libya, to President Obama’s line in the sand in Syria. Each of these actions have helped to throw the region into chaos and gave ISIS the space it needs to grow and prosper. Very bad. It all began with a dangerous idea that we could make western democracies out of countries that had no experience or interests in becoming a western democracy.
Our foreign policy is a complete and total disaster. No vision. No purpose. No direction. No strategy. http://goo.gl/EwKqHu

This is the most important speech an American politician has made. What Donald Trump essentially admits is that the hegemonic foreign policy of the USA has made no sense since the end of the Cold War.  He made his speech in Washington, DC on April 27 just a day after the Waning Gibbous Moon. The Moon is conjunct stars of Ara,  the Altar of the Centaur. The mythical image here is of the Centaur placing Lupus the beast with conscious deliberation upon the Centaur's sacrificial altar. In our context, it would be referring to the need to give up a way of being where the US has been behaving like a beast on a rampage!

The Centaur takes the beast to Ara which is on the extreme right

A chart for the Moon phase at Washington DC has Mars [8sa25] on the MC as part of a T-square also containing Saturn-Neptune-Jupiter. The last quarter or waning Jupiter-Saturn square  is about  “endgames…recognizing failure as part of the cycle”. Neptune is the planet we associate with “dreams and wishful thinking”.   Its square to Saturn implies a defeat or end of wishful thinking. Saturn on the MC in  Sagittarius linked to adventures in foreign lands is deflating the buoyancy of this enthusiastic sign and is the reason behind Trump’s admission that  the US foreign policy is a “complete and total disaster”.

Finally, on the MC with Mars is the star Antares, alpha Scorpio, Heart of the Scorpion about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

In classical astrology, Antares is the star of war and weaponry, and with expounded meaning, to challenge the established opposing politics (an arena common to the Antares / Aldebaran axis) with a tenacious willingness to fight and even destroy. Antares demands we take responsibility for our reality, for the lives we create, and "take a stand" for our truth, live it, and especially to take a stand against the established conditions of our personal lives and against the established order or authority directing our lives when those conditions or that authority are no longer in our best interest nor supporting our evolutionary freedom and greatest fulfillment.
