Today Russia’s pipeline gas supplies to Europe face
no competition, but the situation may change soon with the US, Qatar and
Australia exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Old Continent. The shale
gas extraction has significantly grown in the United States. This fact has been
hyped in the media. A tanker carrying liquefied natural gas from Cheniere
Energy's Sabine Pass export facility in Louisiana is en route to Portugal. The
Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports that the event marks the first shipment in a
trade relationship that could shake up the European market currently dominated
by Russia. The ship is estimated to arrive at the Port of Sines in Portugal on

In mundane
astrology an event can have more than one planetary indicator. Most often these
indicators will bring the same configuration to the angles as we shall see
here. The first chart is the Waning Gibbous Moon of April 26 at Sines.
The second is a chart for the exact Venus
sesquisquare Neptune a day later on April 27. Notice that both carry the
Mars-Saturn-Jupiter-Neptune T-square on the angles.
In a previous
post [1]we saw that the chart for the
current waning Jupiter-Saturn square
drawn for Washington DC, has a T square-
involving Neptune – the planet we associate with “dreams and wishful thinking”
as well as with “oil and gas”. Here the
Saturn square is a “reality check” on the unrealistic or impractical “oil and gas” dreams in foreign lands
(Sagittarius).
We now have
the same T-square highlighted at Sines, with an additional Mars conjunct Saturn.
Under Mars-Saturn aspects people often feel weak. When that happens they
overcompensate and try to act strong.
Mars-Saturn aspects’ reputation for bullying or controlling behavior
could actually be originating from a deep feeling of powerlessness.
So once again
we are seeing the possibility of failure of the US move to ship LNG to Europe
to replace Russian gas.
