High Court allows parents to take children out of school during class time

The  High Court has ruled that a father who took his daughter out of school for a family trip to Florida did not break the law, paving the way for more parents to take pupils on term-time holidays. Jon Platt refused to pay the charge for taking his family on the holiday after her Isle of Wight school refused permission for seven days of absence. After returning from the break in April last year, which included a visit to Walt Disney World, he was issued a £60 fine that quickly doubled when he refused to pay. May 13 http://goo.gl/uxXHgJ

The High Court ruling comes exactly at the First Quarter Moon. A chart for the Moon phase at London is shown here. It has the newly discovered dwarf planet Haumea on the Ascendant opposite a Uranus-Eris conjunction on the descendant. In a remarkable exploratory essay New Frontiers in Consciousness, 2016-2017; Uranus-Eris opposite Haumea, Nick Fiorenza explains why this opposition may help to unravel humanity's current view of reality and open us to a far more embracing awareness that changes every facet of human life as well as our current world paradigm—perhaps in a radically disruptive way at first, but resulting in a progressive outcome in the longer term [1].

The First Quarter Moon of  May 13 is under the auspices of the Head of the Lion, as the Sun conjoins Sedna and Algol at cuspal Taurus. Stars conjoining the Moon include Rasalas and Subra of Leo; Pherkad of Ursa Minor- the little Bear Cub; Al Sumut and the stars of Pyxidis; and Alpha Pictoris.

Sedna articulates the “return of the exiled feminine principle.” The feminine stands for living as per nature’s cycle unlike the masculine which is content to live according to artificial rules. Sedna’s message is that humanity must recognize the truth about the suppression, persecution, abduction and exploitation of the feminine force in the world (both of females and of the feminine principle); and the mentality perpetuating such must be addressed and changed. In our current context, since the Lion stands for integrity to one’s own truth it represents those who are willing to leave the comfort of mass-consensus, who are self-reliant to step forth into unexplored territory, and  seek new experience and a better way to live [2].

Haumea’s propensity is to intercede with strength and dynamic motion from a state of equilibrium and poise to create a new and wholistic birth in consciousness, one in which the feminine has autonomy to act in accord with nature and the natural world, and to express a new level of awareness about what is truly life supportive, especially regarding the use of the fundamental primordial forces of life. Haumea motivates action to reorient destructive use of power, resources and patterns of behavior into a nurturing force that supports and protects life, and that aids our emergence into a spiritually and primordial aware state of being. She will not be dominated, subjugated or owned. She is a naturalist, of the wild, and impels the formation and evolution of new life [1].

In conclusion, we can say that by refusing to pay the arbitrary fine imposed by his daughter’s school, John Platt, the girl’s father, was living up to the highest expression of the energies of the First Quarter Moon.
