Turkey's Realpolitik: Ankara Changes Its Stance on Syrian Crisis

Russia and Turkey have reached common understanding on the Syrian crisis, including fighting al-Nusra Front militants. During a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Ankara considers not only Daesh but also al-Nusra Front as terrorists. This agreement could be a breakthrough in the fight with terrorism in Syria. July 2 http://sputniknews.com/politics/20160702/1042338086/russia-turkey-syria-terrorists.html

It is interesting that the turnaround in Turkey’s stance comes exactly on the day the Sun forms an upper quincunx aspect with Saturn which is the apex of an ongoing T-square. A chart drawn for the exact aspect at Ankara has the Saturn-Jupiter-Neptune T-square aligned with the meridian. Readers may recall that we have associated this T-square with fancy plans or dreams coming to nothing. Turkey appears to have realized this just as Mars stationed direct. The pressure produced by an upper quincunx is only relieved by  compromise. The other alternative is a “death” caused by an uncompromising attitude.
