Nobel peace prize winners have urged the UN to "end the human crisis"
of Myanmar's Rohingya Muslims in a letter criticising Aung San Suu Kyi. In the
open letter, the group said the government crackdown on the population amounted
to "ethnic cleansing". More than 34,000 Rohingya have been forced to
flee military operations in Rakhine state, according to the UN. Ms Suu Kyi, Myanmar's

The Rohingya are Muslim Indo-Aryan peoples from the Rakhine
State, Myanmar. According to the Rohingyas and some scholars, they are
indigenous to Rakhine State, while other historians claim that the group
represents a mixture of precolonial and colonial immigrations. The official
stance of the Myanmar government, however, has been that the Rohingyas are
mainly illegal immigrants who migrated into Arakan following Burmese
independence in 1948 or after the Bangladesh liberation war in 1971.
International media and human rights organizations have often described
Rohingyas as one of the most persecuted minorities in the world. According to
the United Nations, the human rights violations against Rohingyas could be
termed as "crimes against humanity".
The news about Nobel peace prize winners urging the UN to "end the human
crisis" comes at the New Moon of December 29. A chart for the Moon phase
at Maungdaw, Myanmar has the Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter T-square straddling the
meridian.
Uranus-Pluto aspects have been linked to revolutions but
they do not automatically signify forward change. Pluto's resisting patterns can
include outright oppression and escalation of social control, for example, the
Nazi takeover in Germany in 1933 (during a Uranus-Pluto square) is one such
case. Here, suppression of minorities disguised the subtle control and coercion
of majorities. The energy of revolutions can often turn to chaos, leading to
the re-creation in new form of what was destroyed. Blessings and cruelties
unite in the Uranus-Pluto hammer action, hitting masses of people, and
conscripting those individuals who, by choice or mishap, are called to ride the
wave of destiny or go through the mangle on everyone's behalf. The Chinese and
Russian revolutions of 1911 and 1917 rode on the back of the 1901-02
Uranus-Pluto.
As we know, Uranus and Pluto have already passed beyond the
peak of their square (it perfected seven times between June 2012 and March
2015). However, Jupiter in Libra is now moving into an opposition with Uranus
in Aries, forming its first exact hit on Dec 26. Meanwhile, Jupiter is also
creating a square to Pluto in Capricorn… an aspect that became exact for the
first time on Nov 24. Because Jupiter will be traveling through the zodiac zone
between these two aspects, it essentially serves as an emissary that's
reconnecting Uranus and Pluto and reviving the energy of their square. This
energetic revival is mirrored by the fact that Uranus and Pluto will regress
back to within three degrees of a perfect square by February 2017.
What's different now is the participation of a third
planetary player-Jupiter in Libra-adding a distinct voice to the ongoing
discussion between Uranus and Pluto. Jupiter's additional voice presents us the
possibility of opening up to new alternatives for how to concurrently address
the difficult Uranus-Pluto square. But, Jupiter will not force us to embrace
bigger-and-better solutions; it merely fosters a climate in which the efforts
we intentionally make to actively create such alternatives will receive benefic
support from Jupiter. At its best, Jupiter in Libra holds the promise of
enhancing our capacity to advocate for fairness over domination. Nobel Peace
Prize winners urging the UN to "end the human crisis" of Myanmar's
Rohingya can be seen as a Jupiter in Libra attempt to resolve the crisis.
