Trump Removes Stephen Bannon From NSC

WASHINGTON — For the first 10 weeks of President Trump’s administration, no adviser loomed larger in the public imagination than Stephen K. Bannon, the raw and rumpled former chairman of Breitbart News who considers himself a “virulently anti-establishment” revolutionary out to destroy the “administrative state.” But behind the scenes, White House officials said, the ideologist who enjoyed the president’s confidence became increasingly embattled as other advisers, including Mr. Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, complained about setbacks on health care and immigration. Lately, Mr. Bannon has been conspicuously absent from some meetings. And now he has lost his seat at the national security table. Astrologer Marjorie Orr delineates  Stephen Bannon’s horoscope thus:
Stephen Bannon, the aggressive roustabout brought in as the new CEO of Trump’s campaign was born 27 Nov 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia and has been a naval officer, investment banker (Goldman Sachs), minor Hollywood player, and political impresario. He described himself last year as coming from “a blue-collar, Irish Catholic, pro-Kennedy, pro-union family of Democrats.” He’s CEO of Breitbart News, the crusading right-wing populist website which has supported Trump to the hilt and is ‘a haven for people who think Fox News is too polite and restrained.’ He’s virulently anti-establishment and set out last year to undermine Jeb Bush and was behind the damaging Clinton Cash expose.

There’s as much good as tricky in his interface with Trump. Bannon’s Jupiter is conjunct Trump’s Sun; and his Mars conjunct Trump’s Jupiter – so a good deal of morale boosting going on, though it could go over the score and lead to overly confident decisions. On the downside Bannon’s Uranus is conjunct Trump’s Saturn Venus which hints at differing objectives with tension resulting. Worse, Bannon’s powerfully aspected Pluto is conjunct Trump’s Mars and Ascendant, so Bannon will put his forceful personality behind dominating Trump which isn’t likely to go down well.

With this background let us look at Trump’s current major  progression -  Solar Arc Ascendant [8sc] activating the radix combination Pluto [10le]-Elatus [25sa]. Bannon’s solar arc progressed Sun [10aq] also activates the same combination in Trump’s chart.

But first what does Trump’s natal Pluto in the 12th house mean? Simply put it means that there is a pressing need to bring what is weak, hidden or undeveloped in the psyche into clearer focus.  Abraham Maslow pointed out that  strangely many of us are afraid of realizing our higher possibilities out of what he termed a “death anxiety”. Growth requires the breaking down of existing patterns and on some level many here equate that with death itself. Part of them desperately yearns for growth and development and yet another part mounts every campaign possible to ward off what they unconsciously feel is trying to kill them. Until they locate and make peace with their deep existential dread of “death”, they will keep displacing their fear onto whatever comes along which threatens to change them. With Bannon’s progressed Sun [10aq] activating Trump’s radix Pluto [10le] it is not too difficult to understand why Trump has sidelined Bannon.

Going back to Trump’s Pluto-Elatus combination let us understand a bit more about the centaur Elatus. Elatus bears a perihelion in potentially macho Aries and its node intersects the ecliptic in late Gemini. Here, the intellect of Gemini should overrule the raw nature of Aries.  But quite often it is just the reverse.  About this Centaur Philip Sedgwick writes:

Elatus becomes an adversarial middleman of sorts in a mythological scenario. The effort to take care of a foe causes the wounding of a hero. It seemswith Elatus that every positive result contains a compromise of sorts, especially related to the aggressiveness suggested by the Aries perihelion. A sense of absolute urgency exists in all current confrontational situations making them appear combative. So, action is taken. But was the plan well thought as implied by the Gemini North Node? Apparently not. Initially, Elatus reminds us that during the passion and fervor of a new fight, care must be taken as to not end up shooting ourselves in the foot (as did Pholus). It is important to ensure that allies are not injured in any form in our efforts to handle the raging battle of life. Strategy comes to mind. Would it be worthwhile to contemplate the long term effects prior to initiating them?
Absolutely. Finals consequence requires conscious review prior to initial action.

On April 6, Saturn [27sa] stationed to go retrograde on Trumps’s Elatus [25sa] and opposite his radix Sun [22ge].  It would appear that Trump has just shot himself in the foot by removing Bannon from the NSC.
