Two
men were stabbed to death in Portland on Friday when they tried to stop their
attacker from harassing two women because they appeared to be Muslim, police
said. The incident unfolded on a commuter train hours before the start of
Ramadan, Islam’s holy month, when most of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims
observe a religious fast. The attack began shortly before 4:30 p.m. when a man
started yelling ethnic and religious slurs toward two women who appeared to be
Muslim on a MAX train at the Hollywood Transit Station, the Portland Police
Department said in a statement. Three men who intervened were stabbed, two
fatally. The attacker was arrested shortly after he got off the train, police
said, adding that the women left the scene before police could interview them.

The New Moon at Portland is placed very significantly on the

Coptic Christians is relevant as the theme is the same:

with racism, bigotry and persecution , even extremes of cruelty, insanity,
murder and/or suicide.
Here too the Moon is in hard aspect to Pluto . Pluto is conjunct stars of the Archer. The
Archer with his bow and arrow is fiercely absolutist in his belief. There is no
half-way here but extremism for good or evil, including vicious prejudice and
cruel, even sadistic persecutions. The Jupiter-Pluto square adds the element of
religious intolerance.
However, in this story an additional star is “actor”. The
New moon is also conjunct Menkib, xi Perseus so that Perseus’ theme of rescue
[2] continues here!
Two other points are relevant here. First that on May 26,
the transit Moon, acting as the minute hand of the cosmic clock conjoined Mars
opposite Saturn (forming). The chart for Moon opposite Saturn has the aspect
aligned with the horizon while the Jupiter-Pluto (religious fanaticism) square
is on the meridian. Second, at the reported time of the attack (4:30 pm) the
same Jupiter-Pluto square is on the angles.
