History in the Stars: The Russian Revolution

To everything there is a season
A time for every purpose under Heaven

A time to kill
and a time to heal
A time to break down
and a time to build up

The Russian Revolution of 1917 was one of the most explosive political events of the twentieth century. The violent revolution marked the end of the Romanov dynasty and centuries of Russian Imperial rule. During the Russian Revolution, the Bolsheviks, led by leftist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, seized power and destroyed the tradition of csarist rule. The Bolsheviks would later become the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.  http://www.history.com/topics/russian-revolution

It was on November 6 and 7, 1917 (or October 24 and 25 on the Julian calendar, which is why the event is often referred to as the October Revolution), leftist revolutionaries led by Bolshevik Party leader Vladimir Lenin launched a nearly bloodless coup d’état against the Duma’s provisional government.

Here we will look at two astrological indicators for the revolution which actually complement each other. The first is the Total Lunar Eclipse of December 1917 that aligned perfectly with the meridian at St. Petersburg. The eclipse was conjunct Pluto on the IC and formed a sesquisquare to Uranus. Reinhold Ebertin in his Combination of Stellar Influences associates Uranus-Pluto with “the collapse of an old order and the beginning of a new one.” Incidentally, the Sabian symbols[1] for the North Node [1cp32] and the Sun [6cp06] would appear to describe the nature of the revolution and its leader Lenin.

North Node PHASE 272: THREE ROSE WINDOWS IN A GOTHIC CHURCH, ONE DAMAGED BY WAR.
Keynote: The necessary realization by any individual making a violent use of collective power that it will lead to the inevitable destruction of some of the values ensuring group integration.

Sun PHASE 277: A VEILED PROPHET SPEAKS SEIZED BY THE POWER OF A GOD.
Keynote: The ability to act as a mouthpiece for the revelation of a transcendent will and truth determining future action.

The second astrological indicator that can be used to pinpoint the date of the revolution is the Capricorn Ingress chart and its progression to 7 Nov. 1917. Notice that the Cap Ingress chart carries the same complex of  Sun opposite Pluto sesqui Uranus straddling the meridian and its progression brings the configuration once again in hard aspect to the meridian on 7 Nov triggering the event.
