Zeus and Ganymede - Adolphe Thabard
Last
week, Peter John Dalglish, United Nations adviser and founder of the Street
Kids International charity, was arrested on suspicion of pedophilia, at a home
that he was staying at in Nepal. During the arrest, two young children, ages 12
and 14, were "rescued" from the home. It is important to note that there have been
conflicting reports about the children that he was found with, with some
sources saying that two boys were found in his home, and other sources

Let us remember that this square in isolation could have
meant several other things but astrology is all about looking at how all the
pieces come together. Here we have Mars-Pluto in the 5th, a
combination that we associate with the rapist or his victim. In her book,
Astrology of Fate, Liz Greene writes:
Sometimes, the fate of
Mars-Pluto is physical rape. In making this statement I am not in any way
implying that if one has a Mars-Pluto aspect in the birthchart then being raped
or becoming a rapist is an inevitable result. But there seems to be a
relationship between the aspect and the concrete experience of being raped….Rape
belongs to the Mars-Pluto realm. We have already met the symbolic motif of the
rapist in Pluto himself. This motif has more of a tendency to externalize when
Mars joins him, perhaps because of the intense pressure of anger and
frustration which so often accompanies the more difficult aspects. [1]
The second piece to consider are the stars that form the
backdrop to Pluto. These are stars of Aquila, the Eagle, symbolizing Zeus and often portrayed carrying
away the youthful Ganymede. In addition Neptune on the descendant is placed amidst the
stars of sidereal Aquarius. Diana
Rosenberg links this area to “sexual pedophilia” pointing out that in Greek
mythology, Aquarius was Ganymede, a naked youth kidnapped by Zeus.
